My Advice

Vera WangLooking to add an element of flirtation to your wedding look? As far as headpieces go, hats are both fun loving and sophisticated. They add style to any daytime wedding, particularly when paired with an impeccably tailored wedding suit. As with all headpieces, consider your gown and your hairdo when making your selection.

For hats, fabric should reflect seasonality; straw and silk are elegant for spring and summer while felt, fur and velvet suit late fall and winder weddings. I particularly love a skullcap, or Juliette cap, which creates the illusion of a delicate head shape. Whether made of lace, embroidered or embellished with beading, a skullcap complements sharp features and adds a wonderful touch of charm to a wedding look. -XO, Vera

An Intimate Affair

Real Wedding Vera Wang

Erica and Hoon were married in both New York City and Seoul, Korea. For both of their weddings the couple chose a very clean palette -- ivory, white and grey -- and held their ceremonies and receptions at intimate venues – Jungsik, a restaurant in Tribeca and La Cucina, a restaurant at Seoul National University. Take a look at how these two weddings, with similar inspiration, each had a unique feeling.
